When the Britts moved to their new home, they knew they would miss the comfort and energy savings that the high efficiency furnace we installed in their previous home provided. With the 16-year-old furnace in their new home nearing the end of its efficient life, they decided to upgrade before the winter heating season to ensure they would have the comfort and energy savings they had come to enjoy.

The Britts chose to install a Trane XV95 high efficiency gas furnace, along with a Trane CleanEffects whole home filtration system. This system uses a 2-stage gas output to more closely meet the heating needs of their home, whether it is a mild day or a cold one. The XV95’s variable speed fan gently circulates air for more even temperatures, while using less electricity than a conventional fan. When combined with the CleanEffects, the most effective whole-house filtration system available, this system will continuously filter their air to provide the cleanest air possible. While a duct leakage test showed minimal duct loss in the home, we rebuilt and sealed the duct plenums to ensure the Britts receive the comfort, energy efficiency and clean air that they paid for.

Trane XV95 and CleanEffects

New venting was required for the high efficiency furnace, as water condensation can damage typical metal venting. This was re-routed to ensure easy access to the filter for regular cleaning. A drain system and pump were also installed to make sure that this condensation was carried outside the home. This drain was insulated to prevent freezing during cold winter days.

The Britts have a new heating system that will provide years of comfort, energy savings, and cleaner air in their home. Congratulations to Brandon Richer and Braxton Tacbian, our installation of the week winners for the week of August 14th, on a job well done!
