Congratulations to Darrick Philp, Service Manager at Bel Red Energy Solutions for being appointed by the Washington State Building Code Council (SBCC)  to both the Mechanical and the Energy Technical Advisory Groups (TAG) representing mechanical contractors.

2012 is an adoption year for new editions of the model building codes. The Technical Advisory Groups (TAGs) are a key part of the Council review process. As a TAG member, Darrick will participate in updating the state building code - which influences all home and building owners in the state. This code adoption year will conclude with public hearings and possible final adoption of new editions and state amendments to the model codes referenced in state law.

Darrick brings a unique perspective to the TAG as a NATE Certified HVAC Technician, licensed 06 electrician, and licensed electrical administrator with years of experience in both field service, and management. This background provides Darrick with the hands-on experience, and depth of knowledge, needed to make practical, cost-effective, recommendations for changes to code to improve building safety and efficiency.

Bel Red is proud of Darrick for being selected for this important state-wide process.
